1. Honeycomb activated carbon
Characteristics: High specific surface area (>700 m²/g), regular pore structure, high mechanical strength (compressive strength >0.8 MPa), water-resistant or non-water-resistant available, suitable for high flow rate, high dust environment.

Applicable scenes:

Flue gas desulphurisation and denitrification: used for sintering flue gas, chemical plant waste gas treatment, can simultaneously adsorb SO₂, NOx and organic sulphide.

High concentration waste gas: suitable for industrial waste gas purification with high sulphur content (e.g. H₂S, organic sulphur) and continuous operation, need to cooperate with dust removal pre-treatment to prevent orifice clogging.

Modified type: Enhance the adsorption capacity of H₂S and organic sulphur by loading alkaline substances (e.g. KOH) or metal oxides.

2. columnar activated carbon
Characteristics: high mechanical strength, high temperature and pressure resistance, developed pore structure, suitable for fixed-bed adsorption device.

Applicable scenarios:

Desulphurisation in petrochemical industry: used for the removal of inorganic sulphur (e.g. H₂S) from natural gas and coal gas, especially suitable for high humidity environment.

Crude desulphurisation of coke oven gas: choose column activated carbon with high adsorption capacity and strong abrasion resistance to cope with the influence of impurities such as tar and naphthalene.

3. Modified activated carbon
Modified way:

Chemical impregnation: load alkaline substances (e.g. NaOH, KOH) or metal oxides (e.g. CuO, Fe₂O₃) to enhance the chemical adsorption of H₂S and organic sulfur (e.g. COS).

Catalytic function: used to catalyse hydrolysis or hydrogenation reactions to convert difficult organic sulphur (e.g. COS) into easily removable H₂S7.

Applicable scenarios:

Blast furnace gas fine desulphurisation: treatment of gas containing organic sulphur (70%-80%), which needs to be combined with a pre-treatment unit to remove moisture and dust.

Complex Mixed Sulphide: for industrial waste gas containing H₂S, COS, CS₂ at the same time.

4. coconut shell activated carbon
Characteristics: high iodine value (>1000 mg/g), high hardness, well-developed micropores, large adsorption capacity, suitable for liquid phase adsorption.

Applicable Scenarios:

Desulphurisation wastewater treatment: used for the adsorption and purification of suspended solids, heavy metals and organic pollutants in the wastewater of coal-fired power plants.

Refined desulphurisation: applied in the scenarios of low concentration and high purity requirements (e.g. pharmaceutical and food industries).

5. Coal granular activated carbon
Characteristics: lower cost, moderate pore size, suitable for large-scale industrial applications, but poor regeneration performance.

Applicable Scenarios:

Steel mill sintering desulphurisation: used in conjunction with ammonia method to reduce equipment investment, desulphurisation rate of up to 99% or more, denitrification rate of about 40%

Pre-treatment of high sulphur flue gas: used for preliminary adsorption of high concentration of H₂S to reduce the subsequent process load.
